Long Lost Cross Stitch

This is a cross stitch that was started by a group I belonged to many years ago.
We would pick a design we wanted and section it off so there was 1 section for each member of the group. Then you would give it to the first person to work on it. I made a chart so we knew who was to work on each stitchery each month. You had 1 month to get your section finished. We met each month to exchange the stitchery to the next person to work on it. You would work on your own last. Well I started my part and somewhere along the line it got put away. I found it when I was looking for something else and decided with the challenge I am in I would try to finish stitching it. It is on an even weave not aida cloth. My part was the bottom and right side below the wall hanging. I did get the chair and the dog done before I put it away.

  1. I don't remember that one at all. I thought we did mostly samplers and then the separate ones that we were supposed to put into a quilt wall hanging. I never did put them together because as the years went by I didn't like all of them together anymore...so, I have framed several of them individually and even gave the OSU one to Steve framed one Christmas.
I do have the samplers finished and framed.

  2. That is a really nice country cross stitch. The group thing sounds neat, I haven't heard of that before.
