This is the view out my front window this morning. It was icy cold. We had 9 F. or -12 C. at 6 AM. Our high today was 16 F. or -8 C. Either way that is cold. We may be up to freezing sometime next week. Burrrr! The sky was a wide range of colors as I scanned the sky line.

My Tote Finished
I have been planning this tote for awhile now. With some ideas from Terry about the stitching design. I did the stitching. Then I went to find the trim and buttons. The fabric is an old VIP fabric given to me by a friend. It was his mom's.
I added a pocket on each side. The one on the right is for my water bottle. The one on the left could be used for keys or my cell phone.
This is the stitching up close. It really is straight across. This picture makes it look crooked.
And finally the finished bag. I also put a piece of foam core in the bottom to give it some body. What do you think? Could I have done anything different to make it better? I am always open for suggestions.

Playing With Strips
I saw this idea on Inchworm Fabrics blog. I decided to play with it and this is what I came up with. I do not know who may receive this or if I will keep it for myself. I did some hand stitching and also added some lace before putting it together. I stuffed it lightly. I then added a ribbon bow and a pretty button. I like the way it came out.
More strips in a smaller size. I found the smaller size a lot harder to work with. I used machine decorative stitches on these 2 smaller hearts. My bathroom is purple. The lace just finished off the edges.

BOM Stitched and A Win
This is the Flirting with Flowers BOM from Tozz's Corner. I did not do the applique' instead I just stitched it and it will go on a tote bag in the future. It was quick and easy.
This is the gift I won at the end of the year from Kris, this is an extra gift she gave away on the OPAM challange. I am trying to pick out fabrics from my stash to make it with. I love the pattern very much. I also love the fabric she sent.

Prayers Needed
Our future daughter-in -law's son Justin needs your prayers. This is the message I received this morning. They live in Australia so it is hard on our son right now not being there with her.
Terri's son Justin is in West Mead Children’s Hospital, looks like he is in for roughly the next week or so, he has peritonitis and it looks like they have to do surgery to fix his cath and also put in a main line for hemo dialysis. He will have to have hemo dialysis until he can do PD dialysis again. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.

We are in for more snow today and tonight and maybe tomorrow. They say we can get 2-5 inches tonight and more tomorrow. It will be lake effect tomorrow which we normally do not get but the last storm sent lake effect right over us. I hope it just hits the northeastern area like it normally does. These pictures were taken about 3 PM this afternoon. It has been snowing like this since 2 PM this afternoon. Click on them to see the real view.

Just 2 Days
This was the picture on my first blog which was Jan. 8 2009. In 2 days I will be posting a 1 year Blogaversary giveaway. I have posted a lot in that 1 year and loved every minute of it.
Thanks to my daughter Terry for setting it up for me and doing my new blog headers when I need them done or when she surprises me with a new one. I love surprises. She is always there when I have a question or problem.
I also want to thank all of my follower and everyone who has left a comment for me. It has been a great year.

This is New Years Day at a friends home in our area. It did this all day.
