Finally a Finish

This is a bag that a friend ordered for her sister Norma. I had the stitching finished and had not decided what to do with it. She picked it and I put the name on it. She picked the fabric from my stash. I sewed batting between the outside when I sewed the side seams and then I put the lining in. It gives it some body. This is the first time I ever did it this way. It has 2 front pockets on the front. One is the white area with the stitching and the other is the green edged with rick-rack. Reason being I made the white one too small to put your hand all the way in. It would be great to stick your keys in. I felt she needed a little larger one too. I really like the way it came out.

Won a Giveaway and More Flowers

Sorry I have not posted in awhile but I have been doing some cleaning and sorting out. Here is the pattern I won from Clare's Craftroom. I just love the design and hope to make it soon. I may not sure if I will use it at my machine but I will figure out a good place to use it.

More of my Creeping Phlox. This flower bed in next to the front sidewalk.

Our Flowering Crab Apple Tree.

My many Forget-Me-Not's. They seed themselves everywhere.

More Flowers Again

More flowers. But not much sewing being done. This is a flowering Plum tree I think. My landlord planted it when it was just a small twig. Now it is taller than my mobile home.

Double white flowers that I am not sure what they are.

More Creeping Phlox. I have several colors.

This is the newest Creeping Phlox I have.

This is the full open Bleeding Heart.

This is the size of the plant in my compost pile.

This is a Forget-Me-Not that does not spread.

This is the kind reseads that spreads everywhere.

Wild Violets in my lawn.

A Lilly but I do not know what kind it is.

More Flowers

Here are some more of my spring flowers in bloom. These is my first Tulips and my white Daffodils.

The next 2 are Creeping Phlox.

This is a very large Bleeding Heart that is growing in my compost pile. It was a flower bed before we turned it to a compost pile and we must have missed transplanting the roots of this Bleeding Heart because it gets bigger every year.

The next 2 are Primrose. They need split I think. They are pretty thick.

More blooms as they come out. Have a great week. I just love SPRING!

Pillow Top Made and Small Bag Finished

This is the pillow top I made from this stitchery. I am going to have my daughter Terry machine quilt it for me and then I will finish it into a pillow cover. She also helped me with the fabric choices.

This is a little bag I was playing around with today. It is the first time I have ever put a zipper in on a curve. I really do not mind putting zippers in and have used them in many ways in the past.
