Reading and Printing

I just read this book based on the Amish girls killing at the Nickle Mines Amish School in 2006.
I am sure some of you remember hearing of it on the news. I know I do. We live not too far from the Amish here in Ohio. This book recalls the shooting and how the Amish reacted with forgiveness afterwards. It is hard to explain the book but I found it very interesting and it made me think a lot. I suggest you all might enjoy reading it.

The printing part of this post is the fact that I decided what this years Christmas cards would be. I always print all my cards and on the Christmas ones I always add something that fits the design on the front. Sometimes it is a few small pom-poms for berries on a wreath. Sometimes it is snowflakes or whatever goes with the picture. I make up to 40 of these now but use to make over 50 each year. I cannot show you this years or they would not be a surprise for those getting them. Sorry! All I have to do now is fold them and put the added things on them and then they will be ready for Christmas. I also make an ornament for about 25 friends each year. Those are about half way finished. Not much more to do on them.

  1. I saw that book earlier this week but I wasn't sure if I wanted to read it or not. Good for you getting your Christmas cards printed out! :0)

  3. I remember that too. I'll have to look for the book. It seems like I remember seeing a movie on Lifetime about it too, maybe it was a different shooting but it sure sounds the same.

I can't believe you are already done with your Christmas stuff! Wow, I'm gonna have to get busy. It's August and time is flying by!

  4. You are really flying with your Christmas stuff. I plan to do things in the summer, but usually don't start until December and then I can't figure out why I'm so stressed.
