Flowers and Tomatoes

This is my first Hibiscus to bloom.  The dry weather and bugs have done a number on my flower this summer.

This is the first blooms of my Rose of Sharon.  They get a lot of shade so they do not bloom well but I love them anyway.   They look a lot like my Hibiscus but are a tall bush with smaller blooms.

Close up of the Rose of Sharon.

We have been picking a lot of these cherry tomatoes.  They are planted in a big pot.

  2. I've been getting some cherry tomatoes to eat too. I really ought to go out tomorrow and get some pictures of my rose of sharon.

  4. The Rose of Sharon is a species of hibiscus. They are in the mallow family. I have a perennial hibiscus that I am waiting patiently (well not really patiently) to flower. No tomatoes here yet. It should be soon though. Can hardly wait.

  5. My mom's Rose of Sharon are blooming and they are so pretty. She has pinks, purples and whites and they are full of buds ready to burst forth.
