Thread Catchers and Larger One

I made the square thread catcher found here.  They are great for sitting next to where you sew or stitch to catch your thread ends. The small ones started with a 6 inch square.  They measure 1 1/2" tall and 3" square at the base.  I used a 12 1/2" square for the larger one and it measures 2 1/4" tall and 7" square base.  I think the larger one would be great on a dresser or counter to hold about anything.  They each took me less than an hour to make.

Sorry for the miss connection for the blog where I found the pattern.  Scroll down the page and you will find it.  Click older posts.

  6. I love those catchers - someday I'll have to make one. I used to just throw my threads on the floor when I sewed at the kitchen table and then would pick them all up at the end of the day. But now I have my sewing table set up in my bedroom - I can't seem to throw the threads anymore!! LOL!
