Fire Truck Puzzle

We finished the fire truck puzzle today.  It had over 1000 pieces and was a stinker to do but we finished it just now.  We could not do the border first because a lot of the pieces were so close to the same you could never get it right.  So we worked on the inside first.  Sure glad we finished it. I am going to pass it on to a friend who loves puzzles.  Click to see a better picture.

Christmas Gifts

Here are some pictures from our Christmas Visits.  These are the 3 afghans I finished early in the year but could not show you.

Katie and Addison at our son Eric's house.  Pictures of Bek and Eric and Terri did not come out well.  I think it might have been a little too dark in the room.

Addison with he baby doll.

These pictures are from our daughter Terry's home. This is the fabric basket I made Terry.  Some pictures at Terry's did not come out well either.  Better check my camera out.

 Brian with his afghan.

Emily with her afghan.

2 finishes, these are coasters made over used CD's.

This is the fabric basket  I made for Terry.

Christmas and Hubby

Only 8 days till Christmas.  I hate to make a post without a picture so here is another one of my tree. I have everything wrapped and ready to go.  Just need to buy the food items.

Hubby will be having a series of back injections starting in Jan.  He has spinal stenosis and it has returned.  He had a round of these last Dec.  Doctor says a year is a fair amount of time for them to last.  If they do not last that long then something else will need to be done.  He loses the muscle in his right leg when this happens and it will not hold him up.  He is back on crutches for now. He gets around great on them.  He will just have to be careful on the snow that is coming later this week.

Christmas Gifts

Sorry no picture but I finished my last Christmas project today.  I just have to wrap things and buy the food gift items.  I will be bagging my Christmas breads later this week and putting the handmade ornaments on the bags.  So glad to be this far along.  Not much energy to get things done this year.  Have a great week everyone.

PS Hubby is seeing the back doctor this week because he is having trouble with his leg again.  He is losing muscle use in it from a back problem.  Prayer are requested if you would like to send them to him.  Thanks.

This and That

The other night we stopped to get gas and this is the sunset we saw.  I had to take a picture of it.

I think my spring flowers are very confused.  This is a Primrose that blossoms in the spring but it is winter here right now.  We have had some warm days but this was a surprise that Terry saw when she was here the other day.

My Creeping Phlox are mixed up too.

So are these spring bulbs.  I think they may get their noses frozen sooner or later here.

I have been trying to figure out how I wanted to use this flower piece and I tried it this way.  It is a basket to sit and store things in.  How do you think it looks?  I am trying to get my sewing mojo back but it seems to be coming back very slowly.

Ornaments

Lots of Christmas ornaments.
These first 4 ornaments were sent to us our first Christmas by hubby's Grandmother.  She made each one herself. She crocheted this ball ornament.  The Santa in the background was from an ornament swap.  It came from Calif.

Felt star.

 Felt and rick rack stripes.

Fake fur kitty.

I made this snowman from felt a few years ago.  The elf on the star was one of the very first ornaments I made and that was probably 1960.

This is a snowman on the back of a teaspoon.  The handle is bent to hand on a branch.  The gold ball is decorated with lace.  I made both of these.

Velvet stocking made by me also.

This beaded bell came from Australia in an ornament swap.  I just love it.  I made the bag with cross stitch on it.

This is an ornament Terry gave me last year.

Terry also gave me this button wreath.  The crocheted angel was a swap gift.

I made the gathered lace ornament with a resin Santa glued in the center.  I also did the three wooden snowmen. They are glued to each other.

This is a German folded star.  I have made a whole lot of them out of paper but this one is made of Christmas ribbon.

I wanted a country tree topper a few years ago and could not find one so I made this one.  I bought the teddy bear and dressed it.  It sits out all year long.
