New Bottles and Quilt Show

Here are 2 new bottles I am adding to my green glass bottle collection.  I found them yesterday in Amish Country.  I do not know if they are old or not but I did not have anything like them in my collection.  They have to be different for me to buy them because I have a lot of green glass bottles at this point in my life.

Went to the Tree City Quilt Show and these are some of the quilts we saw.  Sorry if some of the pictures are blurry but my camera did not like the lighting there.  If you click on the picture you can get a better view.

Zipper In A Purchased Tote

A friend ask me if I could put a zipper in a tote bag she had.  She was going on a trip and really did not like the button closing it had.  Well I hit the internet and found an easy way to do it. It came out great, with a few minute fix.  Here it is before I took off the button and loop fastener it had.

Here it is with the zipper in the top.  I left it open a little so you could see the zipper better.

Christmas Bread Baking

This is the 2nd baking of my Christmas breads that I use for gifts.  I bake it, wrap it and freeze it.  I will be done with 18 batches of bread by the middle of Oct.  It makes things so much easier when Christmas comes.  Today I baked banana, pumpkin and chocolate. The house smell great.

Button Flowers

Terry posted the site for the round petal flowers on FB for me.  I then decided to try pointed petals designed from my own idea.  I do like them. I then put them on round magnets.  I am sure there are many other uses for them so we will have to see what other ways I can use them.

2 Candle Mats

Here are 2 candle mats I finished today.  They are part of 2 different Christmas gifts.  I can post them because they do not follow me on my blog.

9-11 Never Forget

We will never forget what happened on 9-11-2001.  Today is a day to think back  to the tragic day in all our lives and the families it hit the hardest.  Prayers out to all.

Christmas Breads

Here is a picture of the first 20 small loaves of my Christmas breads.  They are now wrapped and in the freezer.  Round 1 done, only 3 more to go.  I bake it every 10 days.  I also make some larger loaves as gifts or to eat.  I give 3 different flavors in a gift bag to friends.  Today I made 10 pineapple and 10 banana.

This and That.

Here is what is happening around here. Here are 3 bottle covers I made for friends.

I saw these cute monster corner bookmarks made on plastic canvas.  And had to try them.  I think any kid would love them.

My first block of the Charming Star sew along with Terry.  It really is square but it is laying on the curve of the love seat.

Yesterday's sunrise.

A friend lent me this book and I could not put it down once I started it.  Beautiful quilts made by Goldie.  The name Is Desert Trader   The life & quilts of Goldie Tracy Richmond  By Carolyn O'Bagy Davis.  It is well worth reading.

Wayne County Fair, Wooster Ohio

We went to the fair on Sat.  These are the pictures either myself or hubby took.  Here they are washing the animals to get ready for showing.

She must have been tired.

Having breakfast.

This is a Scottish Highlander being washed.

Close up, they have very long hair.

This Miniature Horse and her baby.  The baby was not even 24 inches tall.

Hubby looked at the tractors.

We watched the Horse Pull and the team with the dark gray horse won the light weight class.  They were from Maryland.  We started watching the heavy weight class but it started to rain so we went and ate BBQ chicken.

I love this jacket.

I love these 2 quilts.  The one on the right has pieces not an inch in size.

I like this one too, sorry it is a little blurry.

This painting of canning jars look so real.  It could be a photo but it is not.

Did not stay too long after seeing all the stuff in the buildings because of the rain.
