Prayers
I want to thank all my blog land friends who have sent me comments about my mom's passing. They have given me great comfort. Tomorrow is the funeral and I know all your prayers will help us all get through it. As I said before she is in a better place.

Sewing Expo and Quilt Fabric
Yesterday my cousin and I went to the Sewing Expo at the IX Center in Cleveland. I thought it was very good. They had a lot of new venders and many different types of sewing products and methods of doing projects. I got so many ideas I am not sure I can remember them all. They did not allow cameras, sorry.
After we left there we went shopping at Old Time Pottery which is not just pottery but anything you can imagine and walked for a long time. There prices are very low.
Then we came back to Jo Ann's Fabrics in Medina to find some fabric to go with the pattern strip fabric I bought last month in Charm. I still have to go through my stash to see what I can add to these fabrics. The dark tan is for outside sashing and I plan on making block strips to go between the pattern strips. How do you think they go together? I could not find any thing near the watering can color but that is okay.

New Monitor

Beautiful Day
We worked out in our yard all day today. We got all the flower beds cleaned out of dead leaves and the dead plant parts removed. Last fall the snow came very early and we did not get them cleaned out. Also we cleaned up the yard of leaves and sticks. The squirrels do a number on the huge oak tree we have in the front yard. Little sticks they chew off are every where.
I decided to take some pictures of my Crocus. I think they are very pretty this year.

Garmet Sewing
I am doing some sewing for friends to earn enough money to buy a new monitor for my computer. Mine died this last weekend, it turned a teal blue color where it should be white. I am using one I borrowed from my son till I can save enough for a new one. I want a flat screen if I can get one. I have a lot of friends in my senior exercise group that do not sew and they have some work for me, so I decided to take it on. I had some zippers to replace and that is what I did today. YUCK! I can do them but it is not my favorite thing to sew. Hopefully soon I can go look at new monitors. I have several more days of sewing so if I do not post that is what I am doing. No pictures, sorry.

St. Patrick's Day

This siggie is by my daughter Terry. I love her work.
Sorry I have not posted in a few days but have not done any finishing of projects.
Today I am not doing anything, since it is my Birthday and we are doing a lot of running here and there.
Hope to get some things finished soon.
Happy St. Patrick's Day.

Stitched Magnet
I belong to a Birthday Club which is in with my Ornament Swap Group and wanted to make a few small things for each member. Since postage is so high I decided to make things that would ship at a lower cost in an envelope. This is one of the things I decided to make. It is a stitched piece which I did. My daughter Terry gave me several ideas on what I could do with it and this is what I decided on doing. It is about 3 x 4 1/2 inches in size. I cut a piece of felt and put them together with blanket stitch the same color as the flowers. I then stuck a magnet on the back. I think they will all love it. They will also get a quilted zippered bag to put in their purse and a quilted Water bottle cover with a handle. I made all of them myself. They are made of pre-quilted fabric. I think I posted them back when I made them. It should make a nice Birthday gift.

My March Calendar Hanging on My New Shelf
Many of you have seen my March calendar wall hanging from Ellie's BOM. It was posted on a past post. My Hubby made this shelf for me to hang each month on so I can display them. I am very limited on wall space. But I sure like the way this looks and I had to add some small green bottles to the shelf.

Early Birthday Gift
My daughter Terry posted this on her blog as a finished project for March. I commented on how nice it look. I had no idea it was for my birthday. She was up today and brought it to me early because I will not see her on St. Patrick's Day.

Ellie's February Calendar Block Finished

Sewing Today
This is the Gail Pan BOM finished. It is #3 of the series. I can not wait to get all 9 finished and put together.
This in Ellie's BOM calendar block for January. I decided that I did not have enough room to hang a small quilt anywhere so I am going to have Hubby make me another small shelf and hang up one month at a time. I have a nice plastic box I can store them in so they will lay flat. They will hang under a light I have on my wall.

Day away
Today was a day away, sort of. We go to our local Rec. Center 3 mornings a week for exercise. I belong to a senior stretch class that has gotten more arobic with the new instructors we have now. It is a fun class and I really enjoy all the ladies in it. We either have a pot luck lunch or go out to eat on the first Friday of the month. Today we went out to eat at a Japanese Resturant in a near by town. It was really different for me since I am a very plain eater do to a touchy digestive system. It was very good though and I enjoyed it. Next month will be the pot luck lunch. We always have lots of different dishes and never too many alike. Everyone is a good cook.
I have been stitching on a couple of small projects that I hope to finish and post this weekend.

Two Finished Stitchings
I finished the stitching on block #3 of Ellie's BOM. I still have to make it into a mini quilt wallhanging. I have decided to do that for each month and have hubby make me a small shelf to hang them from. I will change them for the different months. I have Jan. and Feb. to make in to mini quilts too. I may start on them this weekend.
This is the #3 block from Views from the Verandah BOM. I love all of her stitchings. It will go into a small quilt when I have all the blocks finished.

No pictures today
I have been busy stitching on my BOM's but nothing is finished yet. I have been feeling a little under the weather, but nothing too bad. I just can not seem to get much done right now. Maybe tomorrow will be a better day.
Tonight it will be TV and stitching for me.
