Chipmunks

We have not seen Chipmunks around our yard for years and this year they are everywhere. I caught these first 2 pictures when both of them were in my flower bed at the same time. I could not get them both in 1 picture.

This is one of the first 2 sitting on the edge of our wooden trailer. It had it's cheeks full and was eating.

Flowers

More of my flowers that are in bloom right now.

Tatted Edging And Finished Card

This is a tatted edging I just started. I am not sure what I am going to put it on but I need to decide before I go to far and then it will not fit. Tatting is something that is not easily torn out.

This is a card I made on my computer with a card program. I added the tatted flowers and the tatted butterfly. I like the way it looks. I add things to a lot of the cards I make. They are usually printed on the computer first, then I put on the add-ons. I make about 50 cards at Christmas this way too. I never send out a Christmas card that is just printed.

Giveaway for a new pattern.

Neat giveaway for a new pattern. Click here for Helen's giveaway.

Playing With My Tatting

I have been playing with my tatting and trying to remember how to do it. The butterfly is a new one and the picots are more even. The top flower is just 3 rings together. The heart is done on rings and a second bar thread. I think that is what they call it. I had a little trouble at the center of the heart. But I will do better next time.

Old And New Tatting

I got some very nice comments about my tatting so I dug it out again. I did this wreath today. It was the second attempt today. The first is the next picture down.

This is one old butterfly and one new one. The one on the left was done in the past. The peach one on the right was the first thing I tried today. Boy am I rusty. My loops are not like they should be but I will get better with practice.

This is one of the many necklaces I made years ago. I do not remember how many I made but it was a lot. I sold most of them. I also used beads where the country buttons are hanging. I took my class in 1995 which is a long time ago.

This is also a necklace and earrings I made for myself way back then. This one is in Ecru.

Long Lost Collar

I made this collar many years ago and forgot I had it. I did the blue tatting on it as well. I have not tatted in many years but really enjoyed doing it at the time. Tatting is a lost art and not a very easy one to learn. I can usually learn anything from a book but I had to take a class to learn to tat.

These are the last 5 ornaments I stitched for the Swap Group I am in. They will be easy to mail and I think they came out great.

Flowers

I have a few more flowers in bloom. This is a day Lily.

The next 2 pictures are a Hairy Allium which a friend gave me last year. They are really different.

This is a ground rose that I bought with this bloom. The next picture is an off shoot of this rose but it is double and red. I have no idea how that happens. I bought the peach one several years ago and the red one started last year. I am really puzzled.

2 Finishes And A Block Stitched

This is an ornament I stitched for the swap group I am in once a month. The theme if you could not tell for this one is jingle bells.

This is the snowflake I stitched far another swap.

This is my June Verandah Views BOM block. I think her designs are cute.

Some Stitching

I am doing some stitching but none are finished yet. Still hurting from the Shingles and it is hard to get much done. You do not realize how your head is connected to all movement. It has really surprised me as to what little movement can cause my head to hurt. I think it is a little better but now it is just a matter of time till it goes away. The sooner the better.

Just A Few Pictures I Have Taken

This is a baby rabbit I saw by my flower bed. I think maybe it is the one eating my newly planted flowers. Many have had the tips chewed off.

This is the largest of 4 Grape Tomato plants we have in pots. This on is a red one and the other 3 are suppose to be yellow. We will see when they ripen.
This is the Pine tree stump in our front side yard. My DH built the basket many years ago. The ground cover loves it around the stump.

Morning Of New Flowers

I went out this morning and saw a number of new blooms that were not there yesterday, at least not as full. I did not know I had so many pink Peonies.

If you know the name of this flower would you please let me know. It was given to me and that person did not know it's name either.

Thes are called Sundrops.
This is my front flower bed with most of the plants in bloom.

A Finish I Could Not Post Before

This is a finish I could not post before I gave it to my Granddaughter at her baby shower. I almost forgot to post it. I did post that I gave it to her yesterday thou.

Flowers

Here are some more of the flowers blooming in my flower beds. I really love spring when everything starts to bloom. The first picture is of my Circle Flowers. At least that is what I was told they were called. The second one is my Miniature Rose, I do not know it's name. Third is of my smaller Poppy plant. Forth is my White Poppy. The Poppies came in a pot marked Assorted Poppies. I once had a watermelon colored one on the same plant as the white ones this year.
