Flowers Outside and Inside

Here are the flowers blooming outside right now.

This Christmas Cactus is mixed up because it has a new bloom on it yet again.

Washed all the sheers and got my plants and bottles back in the front window.

This and That

Flowers in bloom.

These are the old fashion Iris.  They are a lot smaller than the newer kinds.

I was trimming a doll quilt today and broke my rotary cutter when I tried to close the blade.  I got it closed but then had to make a quick trip to JoAnn's to get a new one.  I have had it a very long time.  I will try it out in the morning on another doll quilt.  I am working to get 10 done this month.

Soup, birds and flower

This is the meatball soup we made the other day and boy was it good.

The Hummers are back and eating well.

We have never had Bluebirds because we are in town.  But this year a pair is nesting in one of our bird houses.  This male wants to sit on my window and look in.  He does not peck at the window, he just sits there.

Here he is in the Trumpet vine that has not leafed out yet.

On my window again.  This went on all evening last night and off and on today.  Not sure why but now I have some of his droppings on my window too.

This is the first bloom on my early Clematis.

This is what is blooming right now.

This red Peony was given to me by my old neighbor who has passed on.  I nursed it back to health from being near a Black Walnut tree.  I think of her every time I see it.  Thanks Sara.

I want to wish all the Mother's out there a great day.

This afghan is being donated to a benefit for Paul Herceg who is my hair dresser's husband.  He has stage 4 cancer of the lungs and pancreas.  There is nothing else they can do for him and he is still a young man.  The afghan is about 62x70 inches.  I think it came out nice but a lot bigger than I planned but that is also good to cover up with.

Ten Doll Quilts

Here are the last 10 doll quilts I made for the Giving Doll.  I really love making them and just picturing the faces of kids when they receive the doll and quilt in a tote bag.  I love all the different fabrics they have for me to use also.

Hoop and Soup

Here is a small project which will be a gift.  It is just a wooded stitching hoop and some fabric and lace.  I stitched the ground and stems and used buttons from my button box for flowers.  Quick and easy project.

This beef and veggie crock pot soup is our lunch today.  We just add what ever we want to the pot.  Good for a chilly spring day.

Here is what is blooming in my beds right now.  The first picture is my Bleeding heart in the compost pile.  It is about to bloom.  If you look close you can see the buds.

Hubby bought this for me at Home Depot the other day.  It is a Dianthus/ Carnation and will come up year after year.
