More Preparing

I have been getting things started for Christmas.  Sorry no pictures.  You did see the first of my Christmas breads in my last post.  I have my ornaments done (20) to add to my gift bags and yesterday I printed my Christmas cards.  I now just have to put the add-ons on as soon as I get out and get some new glue.  Mine is so thick it will not do what I need it to do.

Doll Blankets, Violet and Storm

Here are the next 3 doll blankets for the Giving Doll.  I have received more yarn so have been busy crocheting.

This is a violet Terry sent home with me.  I did not know what color it was but I love it.

Sorry for the blurry pictures but I was in the van going right into it.  This is the storm clouds by the truck stop.

This was looking west right into the storm.

Really Bad Storm

We had a really bad storm go right up our street this afternoon late.  3 blocks away had nothing.  Tree limbs down.  I have not seen a wind like that in over 21 years.  It is funny because across the street they had hardly any damage other than a few small sticks and leaves.  Our wagon on the screened in porch was full of water from the blowing wind.  It blew open the porch door and roll up the door mat inside.  I was home alone when it hit.

This is looking out our porch door.

Neighbors tree was topped out, this is the top on the ground.  It looks like a very large bush.  They also had power lines down but still had power.

Looking out our back door.  Small limbs and leaves everywhere.

Our driveway.  Glad the van was not sitting there.  Dale had it and was on his way home and drove into the storm.  He pulled over to wait it out.

The limb on the well stone slid right down my front windows.  Pretty scary noise from it.

This is the post our flag pole was on.  You can see the end of the pole in the center of the picture.  It broke it off at the ground.

Our flag on the ground.  It is drying off by our porch right now.  It bent the heavy pipe it is on too.

Neighbors tree was topped out this is the top of what is left.

Birthday and Clouds

We celebrated Tyler's 10th birthday yesterday.  He is our only Great Grandson.  He got 2 sets of army men and money.  He set up this as his battle field.

These were the clouds on our way home last evening.  I love taking pictures of clouds.

Therman the neighbor's cat was guarding the birdbath this morning so another cat could not get a drink out of it.  All the cats jump up into it to drink.  He usually just sits there but this morning he laid down in it.  There is a flat rock in the middle he is laying on.  The other cat is a black one which you can hardly see in the bottom left of the picture.  He laid there for almost an hour.

Cuddle Time

Went to Terry's to visit with her, Emily and baby Ave Grace.  Got my cuddle time with her and she fell asleep in my arms.  Brings back memories.  She seemed to feel right at home in my arms.  Love being a Great Grandma too.

Great Grandpa held her long enough to get some pictures taken.  He is not big on holding tiny babies.  In this picture she looks like who are you.

Great Granddaughter

It has been 3 days now since Ava Grace was born but things have been busy so I am just now posting.  She was born on the 10th.  Emily and Ava are doing fine.  Grandma Terry has been helping out.  Here is a picture of Emily and Ava.  She is just 1 day old in this picture.

I have a hard time remembering any of my kids or grand kids being this small. But I am sure they were.  Will see her soon for more cuddles.
