Hallway Curtains

I made new valances for the hallway window and the back door.  I picked the fabric from the colors in the wall border.  They are closer in color in real life.  The picture makes them look brighter than they really are.  I also lined the valances.

This is my border.

Back door valance.  It is just down the hall from the window.

I am very happy with the way they came out.  I had lace valances there before.

Sewing and Flowers

Here are this months doll quilts.

I decided to make a small over the shoulder bag.  I had everything in my stash to make it.  I added the zipper and made it about an inch from the top.  I like that better than a top zipper.  I sewed the strap on the back and added a button on top of the strap to make it look neater.  I have problems keeping a shoulder bag on my shoulder, that is why the over the shoulder strap.

Back of bag.

Sorry for the blurry picture.  This is where I placed the zipper.

Flowers in bloom right now.

New Very Large Tote Bag

Yesterday I decided to make a new very large tote bag.  I had this pre-quilted fabric on hand from when I made a lot of purses.  It has 2 pockets inside made from one piece of fabric and then just stitched down the center to make the pockets.  Sorry the picture is not a great one of the inside.

Snowball and Nine Patch Quilt and Violet

I finished my Snowball and Nine Patch quilt today.   It was a sew along with Terry.  My blocks are larger than hers so I had to make fewer blocks.  It is about 48 x 66 inches.  I love the design that the 2 colors make.

This is a white Violet Terry gave me.  It is now in bloom.

This and That

Coming home from our son's Sunday night we saw these hot air balloons way off in the distance.

First tomatoes from our 2 tomato plants.

Flowers in bloom now.

Mini Rose and Doll Blankets

Here is my mini rose that Terry gave me awhile back.  It is blooming again.

I decided to use up the baby yarn I had left in my stash.  This is the first doll blanket I made.

This is the second one and it finished up all my baby yarn.  One more thing I am not storing.  They will go to my church bazaar in the fall.

Cushions and Quilt Top

Here are the cushions I re-covered for Terry.  I really like how they came out and go so well with the chair she re-painted.

This is the finished top of my Snowball and 9-patch quilt.  Now I just have to figure out the backing and binding.  It was a sew a long with Terry.  My blocks are bigger than her's were.  I really like the 2 colors rather than scrappy this time.

10 More Doll Quilts

Here are the 10 doll quilts I made in June for the Giving Doll program. They are 24 inches square. That makes 60 this year.  My personal goal is 10 a month.

This and That

Hubby got all the floor trim and thresholds finished and it looks great.

My bay window in the dining room after I de-cluttered it.

I have been working on yarn projects while watching TV.  I am using up left over yarn.  This is a crocheted scarf in my favorite pattern.  It works up very fast.

This is a knit lacy pattern which takes me longer because I can only work a little at a time with this pattern but I love it.  Also left over yarn.

Trying to use up some of my stash of yarns.  Great gifts or donations for our church bazaar.
