Doll Blankets and Flowers

Here are 2 more doll blankets for the Giving Doll.  This is the corner to corner pattern.

Close up of the stitches.

This is a Granny corner to corner.  Very interesting to do.

Our garden.

Red Peony from an old friend Sara.

This flower just showed up last year and I do not know what it is but I like it.

Does anyone know if this plant is a flower or a weed?  It just showed up this spring.

Doll Blanket and Cat

Here is my latest doll blanket for the Giving Doll.  It is a new pattern which is a corner to corner pattern.  This is made with thin baby yarn I was given by a friend.  I am loving this pattern for a change from the granny squares I have been making.

Close up of the stitches.

This is one of the neighbor cats sitting in my birdbath and he is just looking around.  There is a rock in the center of the birdbath so the little birds can stand on it and get a drink. All of the cats jump up into my birdbath to get a drink, even though the neighbor who feeds them has water out for them.

3 more Doll Blankets

Here are the last 3 doll blankets for the Giving Doll.  A friend gave me a bag of baby yarn and this is what I did with some of it.  This is a mint green and cream blanket worked as a large Granny Square.

Close up of the color and stitches.  I like to put a row of singles aroud the edge of these blankets.

This one is made with 2 strands of very fine baby yarn worked at the same time.

This is a new Wobbly V-Stitch pattern I found.  I worked it in smaller squares and ladder stitched them together.  Then a row of doubles around the whole thing to make it big enough.  I love this one even if I hate to sew blocks together.  It is the same green and cream as the first one.

Just a close up of the stitches.

Doll Blanket

Another doll blanket for the Giving Doll.  It is yellow and peach.  Not sure why it looks more pink.

Doll Blanket

Here is another doll blanket for the Giving Doll.  I used up all the variegated yarn on this one.  But I have plenty of yarn to work with because a friend just gifted me a paper shopping bag of baby yarn and 2 skeins of reg. yarn.

This is a close up of the yarn.  I love d this yarn.

My large afghan project (ripple granny ) is too big to use as a take along project now and the last few days it was too hot to have it on my lap.  I will get back to it soon.  I do not have too much more to do on it.

Next Big Project

This is what I started on Tues. the 5th of April.  Wonder how long it will take me to finish it?  What do you think of the colors?  It is a Granny Ripple Afghan.  Easy to crochet after you get the first row done.  The colors are cream, lace, sky blue and ocean blue.  Click on the picture for a better view.

Finishes and Playing

Here is a wedding gift for friends this summer.  I started it the first of March.  It is over our large love seat.  It is just over 48" x 60".  A great size for covering up with watching TV or reading a book.

Playing with yarn and a new pattern.  This baby dress may be sold too.  I did not know so many baby girls were going to be born this summer.

Booties to go with the dress.
