Tree, Sunset and Doll Quilts

This is the tree on the side street to the north of us. I took it out of our living room window.

This is sunset at one of our parks on Sat. night.

Here it is almost gone.

Two Post In One Day

Skies at sunrise yesterday.

Since I got my sewing machine back yesterday I did some sewing this morning.  I now have 8 Charming Star quilt blocks finished.  The machine is working great.  Better than it has in a long time.

I want to wish my hubby a happy 48th Anniversary today.  On our wedding day we had some sun shine and then rain and it ended with snow.  The years have not always been easy but we have made it through them.  Terry was 5 1/2 when we got married.

Sewing Machine

Sewing machine is home and running great.  Not to costly to have it fixed.  It is running better than it has in a long time.  Just wanted you all to know I will be back sewing in the morning.

Herman Died Plus Flowers

I killed Herman ( Christmas Bread Starter ) today.  I baked 5 batches of bread.  2 batches of blueberry, 1 of apple and 2 of banana.  They are all in the freezer now.  I have 60 small loaves and 10 regular loaves.  All ready for Christmas giving.  There are some in the door too.

Here are the flowers I arranged for the church alter next week for our anniversary.  They are not real but sure look like they are.  I can enjoy them longer this way.

Sick Machine

My sewing machine has been acting up so it was taken it to be checked out this afternoon.  I sure hope it is not serious and not too costly.  But no sewing for a short.  I guess I can cut out block parts for doll quilts and my Charming Star Quilt.

More sewing when I get the machine back.

This and That

Here are the breads I baked on the 30th of Sept.  I forgot to post them.  Only one more baking on Fri. and all my Christmas breads will be in the freezer.

Here are 8 button flower pins I made the other day.  Sorry it is a little blurry.

The leaves are turning on the neighbors tree.  I love fall color but not the colder weather and rain we are getting.

I have been busy making all my Christmas gifts that I can not show.  They are all made now so I can go back to doll quilts and my Charming star quilt blocks.

New Bottles and Quilt Show

Here are 2 new bottles I am adding to my green glass bottle collection.  I found them yesterday in Amish Country.  I do not know if they are old or not but I did not have anything like them in my collection.  They have to be different for me to buy them because I have a lot of green glass bottles at this point in my life.

Went to the Tree City Quilt Show and these are some of the quilts we saw.  Sorry if some of the pictures are blurry but my camera did not like the lighting there.  If you click on the picture you can get a better view.

Zipper In A Purchased Tote

A friend ask me if I could put a zipper in a tote bag she had.  She was going on a trip and really did not like the button closing it had.  Well I hit the internet and found an easy way to do it. It came out great, with a few minute fix.  Here it is before I took off the button and loop fastener it had.

Here it is with the zipper in the top.  I left it open a little so you could see the zipper better.

Christmas Bread Baking

This is the 2nd baking of my Christmas breads that I use for gifts.  I bake it, wrap it and freeze it.  I will be done with 18 batches of bread by the middle of Oct.  It makes things so much easier when Christmas comes.  Today I baked banana, pumpkin and chocolate. The house smell great.
