Snow Storm and Poor Robins

Another bad snow storm. We woke up this morning to heavy blowing snow. Probably around 6 to 7 inches but it is hard to say with the wind blowing it around. This is my north window in the kitchen and the snow was just plastered to it.

View out my front window about 8 AM.

Snow plastered to my north livingroom window while it was still dark outside.

My swing ended up just full of snow from the blowing snow. It sure looks funny. Click on it to see it better.

The poor Robins that showed up yesterday are trying to find something to eat. They are having a very hard time with all the snow and wind.

I sure hope this stuff goes away soon and Spring shows up. I think we have all had enough of winter for this year.

Robins and More Snow Coming

Can you see the 2 fat Robins in my Honey Suckle bush? We have had a lot of them in our tree out by the road today but it was too far away to get a picture. These 2 landed about supper time and I snapped several pictures but this is the only one that really came out. Click on it to enlarge it.

We are in for another big snow tonight. They say anywhere up to 8 to 10 inches. That is their guess for our area. I have had enough already.

Lots of Snow Again

Another snow storm hit us last night. Hubby says we got about 12 inches. Many roads in the area were closed last night and people were stuck on the interstate roads for up to 8 hours before traffic got moving again. Many accidents were the cause of the backups. Sun is shinning today but it is cold. Hopefully some of the snow will melt.

Spring Left But a Great Amish Overnight

Spring is hiding right now because the snow is back. We are in for a mix of weather in the next 24 hours. It could get pretty bad. Just have to wait and see what we get.

Hubby took this picture this morning at sunrise.

We spent a overnight in amish country on Friday. Our couples group from church do it every year at this time. We have supper at the Der Dutchman in Walnut Creek and stay at the Inn at Walnut Creek. They have a game room that we go to after supper and play games. It is great fun. Then we meet for breakfast the next morning and then go on our own way to visit Amish country. This is a new place for us to visit. It is Yoder's Bargin Barn outside of Fredricksburg. Not too hard to find. Has a little bit of everything. We will go back the next time we are down that way.

Clothes hanging from the barn to the house in Charm across from the Truck Patch.

This is a new building going up outside of Sugarcreek. It is the Age of Steam Roundhouse. If you do a search for that name you can find out all about it. I do not know when it will be finished. The following pictures are from there.

This is the back side of the where we stayed. Our room was at the far right. My pictures got out of order somehow.

I Am Thinking Spring

This morning I heard the squirrles running across my roof. It is the first time since last fall. That just has to mean spring is coming because they are always doing that in the warmer weather. Our roof is metal and it sounds like a bunch of horses running up there.

No crafting to show but I have been doing a little crocheting on a dishcloth. I will show you when I finish it.

Feeling a little bit better than the last post but I have no pep. Have a good day.

2 Mug Rugs

I just finished the binding on these 2 mug rugs for a gift to a friend. I am very happy with the way they came out. I used only what I had on hand because I have been to sick to go shopping.

Happy Valentine's Day

Wishing you all a very Happy Valentine's Day. Very windy here today but warmer this week.

I Am Back

After 12 days of feeling awful I think I will make it. I had an acute sinus infection and finally got to the doctor and got on meds. I had not touched anything craft wise since Jan. 31. That is just not me but I felt so bad I could not even think about doing anything.

I played with some white plastic canvas a friend gave me, this morning I made these bookmarks and the frame below with metal flashing in it as a wipe off board or magnetic board. I have lots I want to get back to now and hope to make some progress this weekend.

This was the sunrise this morning. We are in for a slow warm up over the next few days. It has been bitter cold here for so long even 30 degrees will feel warm to us.

Still Not Feeling Well

Still not feeling well and no sewing or crafting is being done here. Hopefully by the weekend I will have my energy back and can do some stitching. Everyone have a great weekend.
