This and That

Sunset on our way home Sunday from Terry's.

Hubby was cleaning up the mess of acorns from our very large Oak tree.  This is the very end of the job.  He got 2 large trash cans full this time.  He had 10-- 5 gal. buckets the last time and there are more on the ground again.

Bottle cover I made for a friend.

I was gifted some yarn so I made this baby sweater and hat.  I do not know what I will be doing with them yet but I used the yarn.

This is a 2nd. set I made.

Birds, Acorns and Sweater

I have not seen too many birds lately but today they landed in the birdbath as a large flock.

We are having a bumper crop of acorns this year from our giant oak tree.  It has not had any for several years but boy are there a lot this year.  Look at the concrete sidewalk.  That is after hubby cleaned them all up a few days ago.  It is not safe to walk near that tree.  We have 2 more out back but they are smaller trees.

I saw this baby sweater pattern and wanted to see if I could figure it out.  I used yarn from my stash so I had to make a few changes.  I think it is cute as it is but it was suppose to have sleeves and be a little longer.  But over a long sleeved shirt I think it would work.  You work it from the neck down.  I did this in a few hours this afternoon so it is a quick pattern done in worsted yarn.  It just ties at the neck.
