PIF

I signed up for a PIF on Terry's blog awhile ago. I have never done one before but it sounds easy. I need 3 people to do this. The first 3 to make a comment on this post will be in.
It's all very simple really. In the next year. I will make something handmade for each person that signs up for my PIF. Then each of those people will post the PIF on their blog and in turn will send something handmade to three people who sign up on there blog and so on.So who would like to receive a lovely handmade gift from me? Just leave a comment on this post and make sure you have your email showing on blogger and I'll be in touch soon! Thanks!

Gift Received

This is the gift I gave to Terry. It is a notebook with clear sleeves she can use to hold her patterns she saves. I did the stitching last winter and did not know what I was going to use it for till a couple of months ago.

Christmas Is All Finished

I have all my Christmas gifts finished and wrapped. My baking has been in the freezer since Oct. and the house is decorated. I can now enjoy the last week delivering my breads and gifts to friends and neighbors. I do have to take the breads out of the freezer and pack the gift bags with 3 small loaves each. I give 3 different flavors to each of about 25 people. Giving is the part I really enjoy along with making the gifts and breads.

This is an old ornament I made many years ago. It is a German Folded Star. It is made of long paper strips and then dipped in melted wax and glittered. They last forever. I hope you are all getting close to being finished with Christmas things so you can enjoy the Christmas Season.

Beautiful Evening Clouds

This evening coming home from friends this was the sky headed south toward home. To the right in these pictures in the clouds was a small section of a rainbow. But seeing that these were taken from a moving van the camera did not catch the color out the side window. It was really a strange sight because there was no rain any where around.

Terry's First Quilt Delivered

Today was delivery day for Terry's first quilt. Laurie ask if I would deliver it in person and I said yes. Hubby and I and Sandy delivered it this afternoon. This is picture heavy.

Emily took my camera and took the rest of the pictures.

She was very surprised and really loves it. It is a beautiful quilt with lots of love stitched into it.

Ornaments I Have Made Over The Years

I have had some comments about my handmade ornaments, so I thought I would show a few. These are ornaments I have made to pass out to friends and family over the years. This one is a purchased ball that I just added lace, ribbon bows and silk flowers too.

This is a felt snowman that I blanket stitched around and added fabric scarf, buttons and a wreath too.

This is a purchased crocheted heart that was already starched that I just added ribbon and a silk flower to.

This was a paper flower pot painted white and turned upside down with a fleece hat and fabric bow.

Morning Rainbow

My hubby called home this morning from the garage he visits and said look out back at the rainbow. I looked and these are the pictures I got. The temps were in the low 50's (F) and we had rain and sunshine off and on all morning. Then this afternoon we went out and the weather had changed completely. We had heavy wind and snow, white outs at times. I guess that is Ohio weather. It is very windy right now. We are expecting up to 50+ mile an hour winds tonight. I sure hope the power does not go off because it is now very cold out. I think it is in the 30's (F) right now.

Christmas Decorations Up

This is a lot of pictures of the Christmas things we put up today. This first one is my tree topper I made a couple of years ago. I could not find a country topper so I made one. I have sold many of these to friends. The bear also sits so I leave her out all year round.

These are some of the ornaments I have made over the years, or someone made for me. I do not think there is a store bought ornament on my tree. The lace stars were made on a sewing machine by my cousin.

More of my handmade ornaments. The brown furry cat was made by my hubby's grandmother and sent to us on our first Christmas.

A few more of my ornaments and the garland was also crocheted by me many years ago. It is around a gold bead garland.

The next 2 pictures are of the ornaments sent to us by Hubby's grandmother the first Christmas too.

This is our new narrower tree. I love it because it takes up so much less space in my living room.

My fiber-optic tree on the clock.

The door way into my hall. These ornaments are all from my swap group a couple of years ago.
