Doll Quilts

Here are the 10 Giving Doll Quilts I made this month.

Some are for little boys and some are more for girls.  I really enjoy making them.  A friend gave me some kids prints so I have a variety of fabrics.  Click the picture for a better view.

Painting and Misc.

We painted the last of the dark gray shutters and trim around the property.  Here Dale is putting up the last of our shutters that have been painted.

He also painted the top of the birdhouse fences.

He made the wishing well look better with the gray paint too.

This is the south side of our mobile home.

This is his wood shop barn.  He did the trim but next we need to get the white painted.

My white Clematis is in bloom.

This Portulaca is growing well in this pot.

I found a silver wire plate stand and put my Ball jar spoon holder on it in front of the TV.  I love it there.  I do not use a spoon holder on my stove top and there is no counter beside it to put it on.  So the TV was a good place to display it.

Silly Cat, Planting and Flowers

That silly yellow cat next door jumped into the now leaved out Trumpet Vine yesterday with just a little more trouble because he had no strong limbs to land on.

This is a Lilac bush I got from Eric and Terri for Mother's day.  I forgot to take a picture of it then and post it

We planted the Lilac and 3 Butterfly Bushes in this row where we had 3 Rose of Sharon already planted.  Some day it will be just 1 long bed but we are to get rain today and right now the humidity is very high and not good for either of us to be working in.

This is what is blooming now.

Color Change Is Coming

We decided we needed a color change on our mobile home shutters.  They have been country blue and then changed to a country green.  Now they are going to be Suede Gray.  Hubby made these many years ago.  We have 12 pair all together to paint.  Here is a before picture but not the other day when we took the first 6 pair down.  I forgot to take a before picture.

Here the shutters are all painted and drying.  I did the brush painting of all the edges and between the boards where the roller would not get.  One coat did a good job.

Dale (Hubby) is painting the trim by the porch roof.

Here he is painting the screen door to the porch.

They dried very quickly so several hours later they were put back on our home.  This is the north side and they look darker because they are in the shade.

Front view also in the shade.

This picture shows more of the true color because there was a little more sun on it.

Closer view of a shutter and this looks lighter for some reason.

Only 6 more pair to take down and paint and get put back up.  But that will be another day.  We both had enough for one day.

Cushions

Here are the cushions I covered for Terry.  The chair came from hubby's Aunt Sadie in Florida.  We brought it home when we were down their visiting one year a long time ago.  It sat on my porch for a long time and I never used it so I gave it to Terry.  She ask me if I could cover the miss-matched cushions.  I gladly did it for her.  The fabric was given to me on a bolt and I had passed it on to her a while back.  I think they really brighten up the chair after she painted it yellow.

Flowers and More

Here are the flowers blooming now.

We have a busy bird bath.  Here is the Black-Capped Chickadee getting a drink.

The neighbor cats love to get a drink out of the bird bath and this one decided to sit on the flat rock in the middle and just have a look around.

The female Cardinal was getting a drink.

Soon to follow was the male.

4 more doll quilts for the Giving Doll.

The back mobile home was just moved in last week.  So we will have new back yard neighbors soon.  It will be a rental.

This is the first time I have seen the bunny this year.  Was not sure he would be around with all the cats in the neighbor hood.
