This and That

I made 2 small coasters to go with the potholder and dish cloth in my last post.  The color may look different but it is not.  Gloomy day here today.  It took almost the full ball of cotton yarn to make all 4 things.

I started this while hubby was having his injections and finished it last night.  Not sure what it will end up being but I love the design.

All our snow melted 2 days ago and we have had some rain since then but this morning we had a 5 minute downpour and these are 2 places in our yard that have puddles.  Lots of mud where the new barn went in.  Will have to plant grass in the spring.

Three Finishes

First of all I made a double thick pot holder out of cotton yarn.  I then made a dish cloth/wash cloth to go with it.  I love this variegated green it is such a soft color.

I then made this bright pink bottle cover.  I have sold a lot of these because they help keep the contents cold for a longer time and they stop the sweating of the bottle getting on any thing you sit it on.  This was ordered for a teenager.

Crocheting and a Gift

This is what I have been crocheting.  I made the headband ear warmer the other day but I did the scarf today while hubby had his 3rd back injection.  The yarn was left over from Terry's hexagon afghan that I did for her.  He is doing well and has gone from using crutches to using a cane.  Hopefully he will continue to get more strength in his leg and will be back to walking normal soon.

This is a gift I got from Connie who won my 4 year blogaversary.  I just love it. Thanks Connie.

Birds and Block Cutting

We have had that large swarm of black birds again.  My van looks like they bombed it.  These birds are in my front side yard.  It is too cold to wash the van right now.  There has to be thousands in the flock.

These are the blocks for Terry's sew along.  We will start sewing in Feb.

Critters, Finish and Cleaning

We have had a warm spell which the critters are loving, me not so much because the allergies have flared up again. We had a bad snow storm last week and this is all the snow that is left.

Here are 3 coasters I crocheted over CD's.  I did all 3 while waiting for hubby to get his first back injection on Fri.

This is my sewing room before Terry and Emily came yesterday to help me clean it.  I did donate stuff and Terry and Emily also took some sewing stuff home with them.  They were so much help to me. I would not have cleaned out so much without Terry saying are you going to use this anytime soon.  If no it went out.  You could not see much floor in these pictures.  It was piled high with over sized tote bins.  They were full of fabric.

This is after the cleaning.  I do need to go through my yarn yet and thin out my supply.  All my fabric is sorted by color and tubs are mostly labeled.

Look at how much floor is showing in this small room.

I am so happy that they came and helped me go through things.  I feel so much better at having more room to sew in.

4 Years

I have been blogging for 4 years today.  Terry set up my blog for me and away I went.  I have almost 800 posts since then.  I have met some wonderful people by blogging over the years.  I will be having a giveaway for this special occasion on the 15th.  Please do not pass this on to other bloggers because I really want it to go to one of my regular followers.  It will be a surprise package that I will put together this week.  So just leave a comment on this post and your name will be entered.  Good Luck.

First Projects of 2013

Here are my first projects of 2013.  First is a padded handle covers for my hubby's crutches.  I wrapped the handles with batting and made a velcro fastened cover for each one.

Here are 3 coasters I made over CD's.  They are large and very absorbent.
